All kidding aside, Dave's zaniness was part of what drew Teri to him in the first place. (In fact, she enjoyed the role of straight man. Inviting them to a party was like inviting Abbot & Costello.)

Part of the reason Dave and Teri work so well together is that they knew what they were getting into: Teri knew that Dave would act extremely silly at parties, and Dave knew Teri would make fun of him for it.

Still, I'm sure the first year of their marriage was rough. Why? Because the first year of anyone's marriage is the toughest.
